(26/09/08) You may have noticed that a certain Danielle Bidder was in the Evening Post and on BBC News last month. Danielle is one of Donato's new NVQ Level 2 Apprentices who came to us through Careers Wales (Learning Pathways) whilst she still attended school. The opportunity gave Danielle an insight into what Hairdressing is really about (some would think our job easy!). Charlotte Morris joins her in weekly Training School, they are both doing very well so far! 

Pompei Ltd's employees are also attending Salon International again this year, we are all looking forward to it. We'll make the short journey to Excel, London on the 19th of October.

Finally, our junior staff competition is happening again soon with the usual DJ, buffet and stressed out juniors. The event take places on the 18th of November @ 5:30pm onwards.

(30/06/08) Zoe Williams has completed her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing within 70 weeks. Congratulations Zoe!

(14/04/08) Finally, our updated salon look is completed! You may have noticed that we now have a new and completed colour scheme! However we intend to continually improve our salon for your comfort and pleasure. Business is booming here @ Donato Pompei which is one of the reasons that the website hasn't been updated for a while! Don't forget to make appointment with us on 01792 781006/411007. Also, congratulations to Samantha Antonio for completing her Level 2 Barbering course! Good job!

(21/11/07) The annual Pompei competition was held last night and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Emma Stebbings is this year's POMPEI CHAMPION she won with a score of 165.5. She wins £60 and her name on the Pompei competition plaque. More info can be found here!

(03/10/07) Donato is organising a new Pompei 'James Bond' themed advert for release in Yellow Pages & local newspapers.

(20/06/07) Donato has recently started doing professional Indian Head Massages in-salon. They last for 30 minutes and cost £15. Feel free to make an appointment. Thanks!

(23/05/07) A month later and the salon is finally completed! Reception, gents, main salon, cloak-room & smoking area are all complete. The following months will see work that will not interrupt normal salon operation. Sorry for any inconvenience this work may have caused you. Donato attended his City & Guilds ceremony at the Merchant Taylor's hall in London, he very much enjoyed the experience and was lucky to meet world renowned Joshua Galvin, who presented the award.

(20/04/07) The salon is almost complete! Gents & Reception area are complete, main salon area to be completed by end of May! Donato's lCGI ceremony is only two weeks away! Donato is also participating in a demo for local teachers in Level 3 Barbering, he will be demonstrating 'Cut-Throat shaving & Tram-line work & design'. Webmaster will be updating salon pictures when the whole salon is finished.

(13/03/07) Sorry for the lack of updates, folks! The salon is currently half-way through a refit; regular clients will have noticed disruption. The salon will return to normal procedures by the end of March. Thanks for your patience.

(07/12/06) Congratulations to Emma Stebbings who has passed her City & Guilds: Level 2 Hairdressing qualification in just 64 weeks out of the allocated 92 weeks under the tutelage of Donato Pompei... She can now look forward to completing Level 2 in Barbering next Jan. Great job!

(15/11/06) The salon is recovering today from a busy night. We had our first In-Salon competition between stylists/junior-stylists and juniors. Eight competitors took part, 5 judges (2 external) were present. We also were DJ'd by the very professional, Adam who is usually found in Revolution on a Friday night. Once the competition was over everybody helped themselves to a huge buffet. Jodi Harris won last night, she becomes the first ever Pompei Champion. Pictures of the event can be found here.

(16/10/06) We have just returned from Salon International, we enjoyed a great day out. Ask in-salon for updates on new styles and colours!

(18/09/06) Emma Stebbings and Samantha Antonio will  begin Level 2 Barbering in Decemeber.

(05/09/06) Emma Stebbings is looking to finish her Level 2 Hairdressing, under Donato Pompei, in record time. She's set to finish it in 62 weeks, 30 weeks before her 92 weeks maximum. Jason Curtis & Samantha Antonio are still rushing to get ready for the Welsh Open in Cardiff.

(10/05/06) The salon enjoyed last night's event, thank you to Richard from L'Oreal for inviting us. 

(10/05/06)  Samantha Antonio will be starting her barbering courses at the end of the year!

(09/05/06) The salon is attending the L'Oreal Catwalk Showcase in Miskin Manor, Cardiff tonight.

(16/04/06) Donato announced today that a new 'Junior Competition' would take place in November. The competition will allow similar skilled 'Juniors' and 'Junior Stylists' to compete to win prizes. Keep coming back to see updates on the progress on the build-up to this competition.

(03/04/06) Donato Pompei has been awarded a City & Guilds Licentiateship and a Master Craftsman Diploma.
