(05/11/11) We at Donato Pompei are proud to introduce a new service to our salon. Jessica Llewellyn, owner of Dolls & Pins, is a Beauty Therapist specialist with NVQ Level 3 experience. She has a wide range of services available and is working along side Donato Pompei to offer you a more rounded, fuller service. Please call 01792/781006/411007 to make an appointment. Her hours are 9-5pm Mon-Sat.

(01/06/11)  Since our last update we have been inundated with requests from Level 1 and Level 2 trainees looking for apprenticeships in Donato Pompei. Presently we are not taking on any more trainees however the situation may change over the coming months, so please call if you are a Level 1 or 2 trainee looking for placement.

We will soon be advertising our Weekly Deals Promo in the Evening Post. Originally, the Weekly Deals Promo was intended for a short run however it's popularity has cemented it's stay at Pompei Ltd.

(01/03/11) Pompei-Ltd has had a few small updates. Some of our customers may notice a few small changes to the outside of our salon in the upcoming months! One of our Team, Charlotte Morris will be attending a special hair-up course with Guy Kremer soon! We're very excited for her! We are also looking for new trainees at the moment, anyone currently doing NVQ Level 1 Hairdressing could contact us with their details, hopefully we could help them out.

Presently trainees are very hard to find in the UK which is a shame, current figures show that children and adults in the '16 -24' category amount to the highest rate of unemployment for many years. Many training companies are not being helped by our government either, lack of funding is crippling apprenticeships in the UK.

(01/01/11) Happy New Year to all our customers here at Donato Pompei. We would like to thank everyone who managed to make it through the snow to have their hair done, we hope it was worth the risk! The website has been updated again and is now in it's 5th YEAR! So, Happy Birthday website! We look forward to the NEW YEAR!

p.s. We hope this year to have an online shop dedicated to our GHD collection! We will keep you updated in the current months!

(01/04/10) New year, new ideas. We are very excited at Donato Pompei as from this April we have introduced our new Main Range of Products from Revlon Professional. We have started 3 new advertisements in the South Wales Evening Post which are running from April to June 2010. Donato's website is now 4 years old and still going strong! We have begun to take on new Work Placement trainees here at Donato Pompei, we welcome them and hope they succeed.

(01/12/09) Congratulations to Emma Stebbings who is this year's POMPEI CHAMPION. Emma has won this title before in 2007, very well done to Emma for beating the opposition again!

(26/06/09) Congratulations to another of Donato's students, Rebecca Gallagher. She has achieved her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing.

(17/02/09) Donato Pompei has finally received his OCR Level 3 Certificate in Customer Service which includes 'Improving Customer Service Delivery' & 'Developing Customer Service'. Donato is one of the first candidates for this particular type of Customer Service qualification. We hope you enjoy our updated 'About Us' section of the website! New pictures, new stylists, same love of hairdressing!

(10/12/08) Zoe Williams, who has only just completed her Level 2 qualification, won the Pompei Ltd. junior competition this year. She narrowly beat Rebecca Gallagher, who is close to finishing her own Level 2 qualification. Congratulations to Zoe. The website's 'About Us' section is to be updated today with all new Bios and Staff images.

Pompei Ltd. would like to thank its clientele for their loyal and continued support. We always strive to improve our service to you even during this busy period.

Donato has great news. He now offers a NEW service to his male clientele, Razor Head Shaves. These are a fantastic way of taking your hair completely away for that smooth, head-shaved look. Nothing is closer that a head-shave from Donato Pompei.

(26/09/08) You may have noticed that a certain Danielle Bidder was in the Evening Post and on BBC News last month. Danielle is one of Donato's new NVQ Level 2 Apprentices who came to us through Careers Wales (Learning Pathways) whilst she still attended school. The opportunity gave Danielle an insight into what Hairdressing is really about (some would think our job easy!). Charlotte Morris joins her in weekly Training School, they are both doing very well so far! 

Pompei Ltd's employees are also attending Salon International again this year, we are all looking forward to it. We'll make the short journey to Excel, London on the 19th of October.

Finally, our junior staff competition is happening again soon with the usual DJ, buffet and stressed out juniors. The event take places on the 18th of November @ 5:30pm onwards.

(30/06/08) Zoe Williams has completed her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing within 70 weeks. Congratulations Zoe!

(14/04/08) Finally, our updated salon look is completed! You may have noticed that we now have a new and completed colour scheme! However we intend to continually improve our salon for your comfort and pleasure. Business is booming here @ Donato Pompei which is one of the reasons that the website hasn't been updated for a while! Don't forget to make appointment with us on 01792 781006/411007.

(21/11/07) The annual Pompei competition was held last night and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Emma Stebbings is this year's POMPEI CHAMPION she won with a score of 165.5. She wins £60 and her name on the Pompei competition plaque. More info can be found here!

(03/10/07) Donato is organising a new Pompei 'James Bond' themed advert for release in Yellow Pages & local newspapers.

(20/06/07) Donato has recently started doing professional Indian Head Massages in-salon. They last for 30 minutes and cost £15. Feel free to make an appointment. Thanks!

(23/05/07) Pictures of all new areas of the salon have been uploaded to the website for your viewing pleasure.

(23/05/07) A month later and the salon is finally completed! Reception, gents, main salon, cloak-room & smoking area are all complete. The following months will see work that will not interrupt normal salon operation. Sorry for any inconvenience this work may have caused you. Donato attended his City & Guilds ceremony at the Merchant Taylor's hall in London, he very much enjoyed the experience and was lucky to meet world renowned Joshua Galvin, who presented the award.

(20/04/07) The salon is almost complete! Gents & Reception area are complete, main salon area to be completed by end of May! Donato's lCGI ceremony is only two weeks away! Donato is also participating in a demo for local teachers in Level 3 Barbering, he will be demonstrating 'Cut-Throat shaving & Tram-line work & design'. Webmaster will be updating salon pictures when the whole salon is finished.

(13/03/07) Sorry for the lack of updates, folks! The salon is currently half-way through a refit; regular clients will have noticed disruption. The salon will return to normal procedures by the end of March. Thanks for your patience.

(07/12/06) Congratulations to Emma Stebbings who has passed her City & Guilds: Level 2 Hairdressing qualification in just 64 weeks out of the allocated 92 weeks under the tutelage of Donato Pompei... She can now look forward to completing Level 2 in Barbering next Jan. Great job!

(15/11/06) The salon is recovering today from a busy night. We had our first In-Salon competition between stylists/junior-stylists and juniors. Eight competitors took part, 5 judges (2 external) were present. We also were DJ'd by the very professional, Adam who is usually found in Revolution on a Friday night. Once the competition was over everybody helped themselves to a huge buffet. Jodi Harris won last night, she becomes the first ever Pompei Champion. Pictures of the event can be found here.

(16/10/06) We have just returned from Salon International, we enjoyed a great day out. Ask in-salon for updates on new styles and colours!

(18/09/06) Emma Stebbings will  begin Level 2 Barbering in December.

(05/09/06) Emma Stebbings is looking to finish her Level 2 Hairdressing, under Donato Pompei, in record time. She's set to finish it in 62 weeks, 30 weeks before her 92 weeks maximum.

(27/06/06)  Donato Pompei is looking for more professional CPD, massage courses could definitely be a possibility soon.

(16/05/06) Donato attended a course on Men's Clippering Design with Chris Foster @ Gilmor, Newport.

(10/05/06) The salon enjoyed last night's event, thank you to Richard from L'Oreal for inviting us. 

(09/05/06) The salon is attending the L'Oreal Catwalk Showcase in Miskin Manor, Cardiff tonight.

(16/04/06) Donato announced today that a new 'Junior Competition' would take place in November. The competition will allow similar skilled 'Juniors' and 'Junior Stylists' to compete to win prizes. Keep coming back to see updates on the progress on the build-up to this competition.
